Chef LaLa (Laura Diaz) spearheaded the culinary demonstrations throughout the 2-day event. Chef LaLa is an awarding winning chef, humanitarian and Hispanic spokesperson for the 5-A-Day program, American Diabetes Association and many other organizations and author of Latin Lover Lite, the first-ever authentic guide to cooking healthy Latin favorites.
Chef LaLa will participate in the 12th Annual Salute to Holiday Desserts from Celebrated Chefs, — a program of Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc. — on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 from 5:30 - 8:30pm.
The Culinary Demonstration Theater at this year’s International West Coast Seafood Show will be hosted by Chef LaLa.
The Charlotte Shout Culinary Arts Experience festival features a line-up of nationally and internationally known celebrity chefs, cooking schools, competitions, demonstrations, free sampling, restaurants, ice carving, wine and beer samplings, live music and high tech entertainment. Chef LaLa will present a donation to her favorite charity.

The conference featured workshops, keynote addresses by Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-47th District) and state Senator Nell Solo (D-32nd District), and exhibitors. …There were also two panel discussions: on careers in broadcasting presented by staff members from KTLA-TV, and on living, food, business, and family presented by television hostesses Chef Lala and Jill-Michelle Melean, and singing artist Karina Nuvo.
Laura Diaz, who calls herself Chef LaLa, also can be expected to make health pitches while appearing at road show events for Foster Farms.
