The Discovery Health Channel aired “National Body Challenge” on Sun. and Mon., Jan. 15 and 16, featuring Laura Diaz, …in the show’s second installment….Diaz helped a Southern California Latino family learn to cook healthier food with the same taste they are accustomed to.
The idea to bring together taste and nutrition began when Diaz was seeking a career after high school. She began studies as a cardio pulmonary therapist (a heart and lung specialist) and during this time, she connected diet with health. Many diseases can be prevented through proper nutrition, said Diaz.Whether she’s teaching nutritious cooking at a Farmer’s Market or on a television show, Chef LaLa is on fire with her desire to share everything she has learned to make people’s lives healthier and happier–one meal at a time.
